The deployment enhances access security with features such as login-history tracking and multi-user login prevention\u2014addressing key vulnerabilities inherent in traditional authentication processes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWe are developing a fully unified platform and service portfolio to lead the \u2018Zero Trust\u2019 paradigm,\u201d Shin added. \u201cA framework that continuously verifies every access\u2014regardless of location or device\u2014will define the new global standard for security.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section aria-labelledby=\"sec-pet\">\n<h3 id=\"sec-pet\" class=\"section-title\"><span>Expanding Biometrics to the Pet Ecosystem<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span>The rebranding also signals UNION biometrics\u2019 expansion of biometric innovation from humans to animals. In August, the company opened a Pet Registration Center and began commercializing pet nose-print recognition for dogs\u2014a world first.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span>The technology utilizes the unique patterns of a dog\u2019s nose wrinkles\u2014akin to human fingerprints\u2014to identify and register individual pets. Both contact and contactless registration methods have been introduced.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span>Under Korea\u2019s current Animal Protection Act, nose-print identification is not yet officially recognized; only internal and external microchips are permitted. However, UNION biometrics\u2019 nose-print service was selected for the ICT Regulatory Sandbox Program under the Ministry of Science and ICT, paving the way for future legal adoption.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThe government and local authorities are exploring ways to simplify pet registration and encourage greater owner participation,\u201d Shin said. \u201cOnce institutionalized, this system will enable exponential growth in data-driven pet services.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section aria-labelledby=\"sec-future\">\n<h3 id=\"sec-future\" class=\"section-title\"><span>Building the Future of Biometric Security<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span>According to Shin, a dedicated digital ID for pets could securely connect services such as healthcare, insurance, commerce, and pet care.
