Challenges
OIS faced difficulties in tracking attendance for its mobile workforce operating across multiple project sites. Employees were transported directly from labour camps to various work locations, making it challenging to verify attendance and manage working hours accurately. The company required a solution capable of capturing precise GPS coordinates for each clock-in and clock-out event to ensure fair and accurate salary calculation based on actual hours worked. In addition, OIS needed an integrated time and attendance system for its office staff that could seamlessly connect with the company’s existing HRMS platform.
Solution
To address these challenges, OIS implemented the UBio-X Face Pro, a high-performance facial recognition device deployed across transport buses and integrated with third-party GPS systems. When employees clock in or out, their GPS coordinates are automatically transmitted to the headquarters, ensuring precise location tracking and real-time attendance verification. The devices are equipped with external 4G connectivity, enabling instant synchronization of attendance data, including presence and absence status. For remote sites lacking IT infrastructure, a customized mobile application complements the system—allowing attendance registration via NFC tags and facial recognition. Seamlessly integrated with RAMS HRMS software, the solution allows administrators to manage daily rosters efficiently and maintain accurate workforce records.
