Overview

MiGROS Turkey, one of the largest retail operators in the country, manages a nationwide network of 3,662 stores and employs approximately 50,915 people. To simplify and enhance workforce management, the company deployed advanced biometric devices from UNION biometrics, fully integrated with its existing T&A software. The solution enabled secure, seamless authentication, streamlined tracking, and synchronized oversight across all locations, while providing employees with an intuitive and user-friendly interface for efficient and accurate T&A management.

Challenges

Migros Turkey manages thousands of employees across a nationwide network of stores. Employees require the flexibility to clock in using their preferred methods such as fingerprint, facial recognition, or card—but the existing system provides limited options. This limitation reduces convenience for both staff and managers in recording and overseeing attendance efficiently. A more flexible and user-friendly solution is needed to streamline T&A processes for all users, improving operational efficiency and enhancing the overall employee experience.

Solution

To address these challenges, UNION biometrics provided the UBio-X Pro Lite (multi-modal) and AC2000 (fingerprint) devices, fully compatible with the existing Passlogic Time and Attendance system. These devices enabled employees to authenticate using fingerprint, facial recognition, password, card, mobile card, or QR code, offering maximum flexibility and convenience. In addition, a user-friendly interface allowed managers to monitor attendance data at a glance, providing enhanced oversight and streamlining T&A management across all stores.
