Overview

Established in 2000 with an initial enrolment of just 140–150 students, Delhi Private School (DPS) Sharjah has grown into one of the region’s leading CBSE-affiliated institutions. Today, the school educates over 5,500–6,000 students from Pre-KG to Grade 12, supported by a dedicated team of more than 400 faculty and staff members. Spanning a 12-acre campus, DPS Sharjah offers a comprehensive academic environment that combines academic rigor with holistic development, serving a diverse student community from across the UAE and beyond.

Challenges

DPS Sharjah prioritizes student attendance and safety as key operational goals. However, the school currently faces limitations in comprehensively tracking students’ movements throughout the day. There is no complete visibility of IN and OUT data—from the moment students board and disembark school buses, to their classroom attendance, and finally until they are dropped off at their designated home locations.

To address these gaps, the school seeks to integrate a unified attendance and access control system that ensures end-to-end monitoring and prevents unauthorized student movement within the campus. The system should not only enhance student safety and campus security but also support productivity and operational efficiency. Furthermore, real-time reporting of attendance and movement data to parents is a critical requirement to strengthen transparency and trust.

Solution

UBio-X Face Pro, equipped with fingerprint and QR code functionality, was deployed alongside speed gates to monitor and record all employee and visitor access transactions. A Visitor Management System was implemented, allowing visitors to register at self-service kiosks using their national ID, capture facial data, and gain automated entry and exit access. The system supports multiple authentication methods, including face recognition, PIN, card, QR code, and fingerprint, according to management-assigned access levels. Additionally, the backend Alpeta software was seamlessly integrated with MoEI’s ERP system and internal government portal, enabling automated assignment of additional benefits and ensuring smooth system-wide operation.

This implementation delivered significant value by providing reliable performance under challenging environmental conditions, enhancing overall security with multi-modal authentication, and streamlining visitor management through automated registration. The seamless integration with existing systems enabled centralized monitoring and control of all access transactions, improving operational efficiency.
