World’s first heartbeat signal-based fake fingerprint detection

UBio-X LiveGuard is a complex biometric technology developed to prevent fingerprint forgery and alteration.
Fake fingerprints that are difficult to distinguish using fingerprint pattern recognition alone can be identified by analyzing heartbeat signals.
Only live fingers are correctly identified.

How it works?

Detects blood flow response (heartbeat signal) at the fingertip via infrared (IR) and green-red LEDs,
This is combined with the fingerprint sensor’s forgery detection algorithm to accurately determine whether a fingerprint is fake or not.
