UNION biometrics (CEO Yosik Shin) held its global partner conference ‘UGC 2026’ at Sonocam in Ilsan on March 17, and unveiled its integrated security platform strategy and global business expansion direction. The event began with a presentation of UnionBiometrics’ vision, followed by sessions on the company’s Unified Certification Center solution, global partner success stories, new product roadmap, and more.

“The security market is reorganizing from an individual system-centered structure to a unified platform,” said Myung-hoon Jang, President of Union Biometrics, at the event. “Previously, physical security, video surveillance, and access detection were operated independently, but now there is a growing demand for a ‘unified security platform’ that integrates various AI, sensors, and data on a single platform.”

“UNION biometrics is known for its hardware, but its software capabilities are just as strong, and we will continue to expand our business to include powerful devices and integrated platforms.”

Alpeta X was presented as the core platform. Unlike the original on-premises-based Alpeta, Alpeta X is a cloud-based structure that enables the integration of various businesses and solutions. With an intuitive user interface, unified monitoring, and AI-powered operations, it’s designed to manage access control, video, sensor, and HR data from a single screen.

The concept of the Integrated Authentication Center, which connects physical and information security, was also highlighted in the presentation. Kim Young-min, Team Manager of Strategic Sales 2, who presented, said that many of the recent personal information leakage incidents show a complex attack pattern that combines insider and external attacks, and pointed out that the existing structure of separating information security and facility management departments is limited in response.

UNION biometrics’ proposed Integrated Authentication Center is a structure that binds multiple security areas such as PC login, access control, and document security into one system with a single biometric registration. The company said this provides a combination of convenience, security, and scalability.
